At Capitol Pain & Wellness Center, our team is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. Together, we combine clinical expertise with empathy to support every patient on their journey to recovery and improved quality of life.
NURSE PRACTIONER
Christina Pilligua, MSN, FNP-C
Christina began her nursing career after graduating from the University of Maryland School of Nursing in Baltimore in 2003. Over the past two decades, she has gained extensive experience in critical care and as a travel nurse, caring for patients in both the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Her assignments took her as far as Hawaii, Alaska, and California, where she strengthened her clinical expertise while adapting to diverse hospital environments.
Her commitment to service also extends globally. As a volunteer RN in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit with the Pan American Health Organization in Washington, DC, she participated in surgical missions to Honduras for two consecutive years. These experiences deepened her cultural awareness and furthered her dedication to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
In recognition of her extraordinary service, Christina received the DAISY Award in 2021 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Driven by her passion for advancing patient care, she went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University in 2024, becoming a certified Nurse Practitioner. Today at Capitol Pain & Wellness Center, she blends clinical expertise with empathy and understanding to provide patients with comprehensive, supportive care.
Outside of her professional life, Christina values family above all, especially time with her son. She stays connected to her Ecuadorian heritage through visits to the Galapagos Islands and cities across Ecuador, as well as through Latin food and music. She also loves the outdoors—whether scuba diving, skiing, boating, or paddle boarding on her local lake.

Omar Garcia
Omar, with nearly a decade of experience in the medical field. He manages day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring that patients receive the best quality of care possible. His goal is to create positive patient interactions and foster an efficient and collaborative work environment.

Sarah is a dedicated and reliable medical assistant known for her caring nature and genuine compassion for patients.
